My name is Sabrina Kramer ( Sampson), I am a member of the Quinault Indian Nation and live here on the reservation located in Taholah Washington. I have been working with cedar bark for about 11 years.

I enjoy working with cedar bark and trying new creations. Working with cedar bark, is a hobby for me, and this hobby has taken me to new avenues. I have recently started taking orders from different people who like my work and getting the orders completed either in short periods, or long periods of time depending on when the people the placed the orders and how soon they needed the cedar bark creations.

Many of the creations I make have been learning processes for me, and I read a lot of books on what was made in the past using cedar bark. So, some of my creations are self taught, by looking at pictures and reading books on cedar bark.

I usually work with cedar bark, during the months of February to September, because I am also a commercial fisherman and November, December and part of January are usually when I am not home.

I am more than willing to take orders, depending on the size or how many orders I get, I can’t guarantee how soon the creations will be completed, since I am the sole person making the creations, but I will get them completed with an ample amount of notice.
